It's time for Magic...Practical Magic that is!

Hello there, so glad you could stop by for the Practical Magic Blog Party! Park you broom and sit a spell ;)

I was so happy when I first discovered the PM Blog party that others love the movie as much as I do! At that time there were around 100 signed up, and now there are over 200! Very exciting indeed! I will be flying through and visiting each and every one of you. A few names I recognize and am already following, and I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with. How many times have you watched the movie since you signed up? I've seen the movie countless times, once since I signed up to participate in the PMBP, and countless clips on Youtube, and playing the soundtrack while I was creating.

I did a couple of small paintings, and a pillow type primitive doll of Sally Owens. I do hope you come visit me again, as I'll be working on Gillian Owens next, I just can't stop now lol. Oh yes...and I still have to make an umbrellas for the sisters as well..

So without further adieu, here is my favorite quote from the movie (a great motto for life) and my creations...

"My darling girl, when are you going to realize that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage! " ~Aunt Francis

"Arrival at the Aunts"

"Preparing for Flight"

They really are small!

Sally Owens

Thanks so much for flying through, join me in visiting all of the Practical Magic Blog Party participants at

  28. Hi Aimee! Happy Practical Magic Party, and it's one of my favorite movies! I'm still flying on my broom visiting... geezz so many blogs to visit! My favorite scene in the movie is when young Sally is making and casting her Amas Veritas spell... adorable... And the saying at the end of the movie,
"... fall in L*O*V*E whenever you can!

Wow, can't believe the paintings that you did! Lovely! And that Sally doll is just adorable! Great job!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog for the "special spell" that I had for everyone! Hope it helps in a time of need...

  29. I love, love, love those paintings! I can't believe how very small they really are. And the doll is so elegant, I would hardly call her a prim. ;)

Thank you so much for the encouraging words about moving to scary (and warm!) South Carolina. I'm adjusting slowly but surely. To say it's been a shock to move from the extremely kitschy, quirky, fast paced and seasonal state of NJ to the land of summer would be a mild understatement, hehe. :)

I agree about the auto music on sites. I did try not having a word verification on my site once but was slammed by spam within minutes. I see blogger has a new spam filter now, so maybe I'll try without again.
